All the first marketing images for Justice League, way back in the dim and distant past, talked about “Uniting The Seven” So that’s Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, Cyborg, Aquaman, The Flash and… who?

It was rumored that Martian Manhunter was in the movie and then deleted as Joss Whedon took over following Zack Snyder’s family tragedy and reshot the movie. Several Green Lanterns appeared very briefly in one scene, but it was said that there were more of them in Snyder’s version. So will there be a seven in the Snyder Cut?

Finally there was also a rumor that Jared Leto’s Joker would be seen in a cameo. We may hear more news soon as apparently there is going to be some shooting. The original plan was that no additional filming was going to be done. Warner Bros. and DC seem enthused though, and are backing Snyder all the way.

As a result Ben Affleck as Batman, Henry Cavill as Superman, Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman and Ray Fisher as Cyborg, Ezra Miller as The Flash and Jason Mamoa as Aquaman will reunite and film additional scenes. The additional photography will reportedly only last just over a week. Likely to be close ups, dialogue scenes and pick up shots.

Fisher’s involvement is worth taking note of. He was locked in a dispute with Warner’s over some alleged treatment he received at the hands of Joss Whedon and the producers during the original filming. He is now in this and expected in a cameo in The Flash too.

It is not expected that Steppenwolf voice actor Ciaran Hinds will return for the reshoots, but in an interview for NME he was very enthusiastic aout Snyder being given this chance:

“It was his dream to realize it, and I think it’s fantastic that he’s got this opportunity to realize what he wanted to do in the first space. He has the chance to recreate what he wanted to do, and I hope it stands up to the trial its been given”

Zack Snyder’s Justice League, to give it the official title, will premiere on HBO Max sometime in 2021 as 4 x approximately 1 hour episodes in the form of a limited mini-series. It will then be available as a single 4 hour movie experience.
